Poinsettia Festival at Ashland Greenhouses

December 10th, 2014 by Julie

Poinsettia Festival at Ashland Greenhouses

FullSizeRenderIt’s the season for hunkering down inside a warm and cozy house, sitting by the fire warming your toes with cold and windy weather outside. I like the change of seasons, throwing on a thick sweater and some gloves and tramping through the snow. Summer warmth seems so far away.

The holiday’s are just around the corner, Jean-Pierre and I went to Ashland Greenhouses for their Holiday Poinsettia Festival, hundreds or maybe thousands of Poinsettias of all colors on display, it was a wonderful sight, here is me in the middle of it all!

Ashland Historic Armory Abundance Swap

abundance swap

The Ashland Historic Armory proudly presents the 13th Annual Abundance Swap on December 14th 2014.

Doors open at 1 pm the swap will begin at 1.30 pm and finish at around 3 pm.

This is a novel idea….   and won’t cost a cent. Just bring your quality items ( something that you no longer want but would make a great gift for Christmas) The items you bring can be from your home, shop or office.  Maybe you have things that you know you will never use, I have quite a few including Christmas plates still in the box also a coffee set, these are just a couple of things. I bet I could find more at home and I’m sure you could too.  Then swap your things for anything else that you might want that someone else has bought, no money changes hands,  just swapping.

Have a lovely afternoon chatting with everyone and come away with some great gifts for someone on your Christmas list. I’ts a Win Win for everyone.

There will be tea and sweet treats to get you into the holiday spirit.

Come and do your Christmas Shopping at the Armory!
